You could not be employed forever. As a Overseas Filipino Worker in Saudi Arabia, I am preparing myself for the inevitable. Right now, I am accumulating materials and equipment for my catering service in the future. Currently, I already bought 50 PVC chairs and these chafing dishes fro rent.

Oblong chafing dish - I have 2 of this.

Rectangle chafing dish - I have 3 of this.

Square chafing dish - I have 6 of this.

In the future I will buy more chairs and covers, plates, glasses, spoons, forks, tents, delivery van, etc.

Goodbye To Our 20 Year-Old Tree

Our tree which is in the middle of our portable office was eventually cut on March 15, 2012. This was done to give way for the second floor of our office which is to be built in the coming days.

I do not know what is the name of that tree. It was cut using a chainsaw.

The branches were carried away using a 25 ton crane.

In less than 30 minutes, the 20 year-old tree was no more.

The Beauty and The Best

I shared the above picture of a beauty and the beast best man posted on my FB wall. I got curious because of the numerous comments the picture was getting from the viewers. Well, I understand them. Whether scripted, photo-shopped or not, the truth remains - we could not believe that a beautiful lady maybe in love with an ugly (pardon my word) guy.

Our mind is already stereotyped - that beautiful lady is only for good-looking guy. It cannot be true that a beauty can love a "beast". Many guesses and hypotheses emerged from the above photo. Maybe the guy is rich. Perhaps the girl was given a potion. Or it could be that the guy has the BIG thing. Whatever the reason for this love story, the majority could not believe that it might be true. Well, love is blind.

9,999 Red Roses for Forever Love

This was the ultimate wedding proposal of groom-to-be Xiao Fan to his bride-to-be Yin Min. On Valentine's Day, Xiao proposed to her girlfriend at the Chime-Long Amusement Park in Guandong, China by presenting her with a crimson dress made from 9,999 red roses. In Chinese custom, the number 9 sounds like forever in the local language which Xiao hoped for their love.

Al-Khobar Escapade on February 3, 2012

It is very seldom that I go to Al-Khobar for shopping because of more than one hour of travel. On February 3,  2012, I went there to buy some chafing dishes with some of my Filipino co-employees. Here are some of the pictures taken at Al Rahmaniyah Mall and surrounding area:

After buying and window shopping, we ate at the Filipino restaurant which served La Paz batchoy. I was curious what La Paz batchoy was and I found out that it was just an ordinary mami.

Broiled or Roasted Milkfish

Bangus or milkfish is the national fish of the Philippines. The versatile fish can be cooked in many ways. As my lunch a week ago, I broiled my milkfish using a turbo oven.
